Bird Cage Card



Bird Cage Card-JMRush
Approximate Card size: H 5.50” X W 4.25”

This card features a dangling birdcage piece and is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.




1. Cut design pieces. ( I used Vellum paper for the solid oval window piece)
2. Fold the card at the score lines. Glue the vellum oval to the inside window section of the card, centering it around the opening.
3. Glue the frame piece without a hole in the top over the vellum piece that was just placed.
4. Use thin twine or string to loop through the opening at the top of the birdcage.
5. Pull the ends of the strings through the back of the frame piece with hole in the top. Tie a knot and then a bow.
6. Glue the frame to the front of the card, centering it around the window section of the card. (Make sure that the birdcage remains unglued)

7. Use pieces of foam adhesive to attach the hearts on either side of the birdcage on the frame. Finish with a jewel in the center of your bow:)

Cherry Blossom Lantern (Flameless)



Cherry Blossom Lantern (Flameless)-JMRush
Lantern size: W 3 x D 3 x H 7”


This Flameless lantern features cut outs and when vellum paper is used, a layered transparent frosted effect is created. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1.Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock and used Vellum paper for the top layer of flower petals and rectangle window panels
2. Flip the two lantern pieces over ( pretty side down) Fold the score lines of the lantern body. 
3. Glue the rectangular vellum pieces to the open areas of the lantern body- centering each rectangle with the open window area of the lantern body.
4.-5. Center the two lantern body pieces. Apply glue to the backside of the right side tab on the left lantern body piece. Attach to the other lantern piece making sure that the bottoms align (joining the two body pieces).
6. Glue the open rectangle mats to the top of the rectangle tree panels, centering each one.
7. Glue the combined tree rectangles to the front of the lantern body, centering each one.
8.-9. Glue the circular hangers together. ( Make sure the stems of this piece remain separate) Flip the combined lantern body over ( pretty side down) Glue one of the stems to the inside of the top of the third from the left window panel. (The other stem will be glued inside the lantern later)
10. Apply glue to the top tab and to the side long tab on the very right side. Secure the long side tab to the other side creating a box.
11. This is what it should look like:)
12.-14. Applying glue to one top tab at a time, begin to secure the top tabs to the inside of the next angled triangle.  The other Circular hanger stem will be glued to the inside of the opposite side of the lantern.


15. This is what the completed top will look like:)
16. Fold the score lines on the lantern square base.
17. Apply glue to the top tabs of the Lantern square base and secure to the inside of the sides.
18. Repeat for the bottom tabs creating a shallow box.
19. Curve the small stamens -insides of the flowers- (small petal design with a hole in the center:) so that the petals are higher than the center.   Color should be on the inside of each piece. Glue the bud pieces (pieces with three points) to the bud base (piece with three curves at the top).
20. Attach small pieces of foam adhesive squares to the very center of the flower bases. Attach the vellum flower pieces to the flower bases that you already prepped with foam adhesive squares. Center each one and off set the petals.
21. Glue the centers of the curved small stamen pieces to the center of the vellum flower petals.
22. Glue the combined flowers and buds to the branches.
23. Place a flameless candle inside and the lantern top in it’s base. I finished with jewels in the center of several of the flowers on each side and a ribbon on top:)

Couple Newborn Card

Approximate Card size: W 5.50” X H 4.25”

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats and can be created using blue or pink card stock to signify a baby girl or baby boy.
1. Cut design pieces. ( I changed the color of the card base to white)
2. Fold the card at the score lines. Glue the largest body pieces together. Glue the small oval shape (baby head) to the largest blanket piece.
3. Glue the third largest body piece (dress) to the combined couple. 
4. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the bikini top shaped piece to the combined couple. I used the adhesive squares toward the top backside of the bikini for dimension. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the front side of the baby blanket to the combined baby piece and then to the combined couple.
5. Glue the woman’s arms into place. (I used a foam adhesive square under the left wrist to adjust for layered height of the baby. The ends of the arms are glued to the lower layer design). Use a foam adhesive square on the bottom half of the backside of the man’s sleeve to attach to his arm. Glue the top backside of the sleeve and attach flush to the arm for dimension. This creates a sloping effect.)
6. Glue the mans arm into place at the shoulder. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the rest of the arm to the combined couple piece.
7. Glue the man’s hand over the woman’s hand. Glue the small half moon shaped piece at the man's neck.
8. Finish with a enamel dot:)

3. Glue the third largest body piece (dress) to the combined couple. 
4. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the bikini top shaped piece to the combined couple. I used the adhesive squares toward the top backside of the bikini for dimension. 1. Cut design pieces.
2. Fold the card at the score lines. Glue the largest body piece to front of the card base.
3. Glue the second largest body piece (dress) to the card base aligning it with the piece that was just placed.
4. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the bikini top shaped piece. I used the adhesive squares toward the top (backside) of the bikini for dimension. 
5. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the belly over top of the bikini top piece aligning it with the round section of the combined pieces on the front of the card base.  I again used the adhesive squares toward the top (backside) of the belly for dimension. 
6. Glue the heart into place centering it toward the bottom of the belly piece.
7. Glue the hand/arms into place. I glued the edges of the arm ends to the back layers of the card design pieces.

8. Finish with enamel dots:)

This design features character arms that open to a hidden gift card pocket. This design is perfect for giving gift cards for Birthdays or for any occasion. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats and fits most gift cards.







1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock for the card base) 
2. Fold the card along score lines. 
3. Apply glue the bottom of the side tabs on the card base. Secure by folding upward toward the card base.
4.Glue the large monkey head to the solid monkey head base. 
5. Glue the small monkey face to the combined monkey head. Glue the ear and cheek pieces in the coordinating spaces on the combined monkey head.
6. Use pieces of foam adhesive squares to attach the nose and top notch hair to the combined monkey head. 
7. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the tail to the back of the card base.
8.Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined monkey head to the card base. Insert gift card and fold section upward. The hands tuck into the slots on the front.
9. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the heart in the center of the hands. Finish with ribbon and add adhesive dots for the eyes:)

Baseball Treat Box Two Ways

This Treat box features a Baseball Bat shaped handle, a print and cut baseball design, and a paper piecing baseball. This file is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. 




1. Cut design pieces.
2. Fold the score lines on the box base.
3.  Apply glue to the bottom of the top two tabs. Secure to the circular shape just above the tabs.
4. Apply glue to the tabs just below.  Secure to the circular shape just below the tabs.
5. You now have a box shape. Glue the baseball bat shape to the bat shaped handle. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the print and cut baseball or the paper piecing baseball to each side.
6. Insert the handle tab through the top slot on the side of the box. Repeat for the other side.
7.-8. Finish with a ribbon and fill with goodies:)

Pomeranian Hug Gift Card Holder

This design features character arms that open to a hidden gift card pocket. This design is perfect for giving gift cards for Birthdays, Mother's/Father's Day, a thank you for your groomer, or for any occasion. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. Fits most gift cards. 



1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock for the card base) ( I changed the color of the largest dog head piece- I ended up  using the same color as the card base.)
2. Fold the card along score lines. 
3. Apply glue the bottom of the side tabs on the card base. Secure by folding upward toward the card base.
4.Glue the large dog head to the solid dog head base. Glue the two smaller dog heads together- with the smaller one on top.
5. Glue the face to the top of the combined smaller dog head. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the two sets of combined heads together.
6. Glue the nose to the top of the muzzle piece. Use pieces of foam adhesive squares to attach the muzzle to the combined dog head. glue the small eyes into place (optional- I use adhesive jewels at the end of this tutorial:) Glue the narrow hair strip into place on the dog’s forehead.
7.-8.-9.Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined dog head to the card base. Only attach the very top of the backside of the dog head. The head needs to be able to flex in order for the gift card section to fold under as seen in photo #9. Insert gift card.
10.-11. The hands tuck into the slots on the front. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the heart in the center of the hands. Finish with ribbon and add adhesive jewels for the eyes:)

Weenie Dog Floppy Ears Card

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. 



  1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock for the dog)
  2. Fold the score lines on the dog ears. Glue the round small medallion into place at the coordinating shape on the dog head solid base. Glue the collar piece on the solid head base and then the dog head with folded ears.
  3. Glue the long piece with nose and mouth cut outs to the piece with cut out eyes, nose, and mouth. Glue the nose to the muzzle piece. 
  4. Glue the combined piece with eye holes to the combined dog head with folded ears. Glue the small round eyes into place.
  5. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the muzzle to the combined dog head with folded ears.
  6. Glue the ears to the coordinating shape on the combined dog head piece with folder ears.
  7. Fold the card base. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined dog to the front of the card base.
  8. Use adhesive enamel dots to accent the dog’s eyes:)

Get Well Soon Bandage Bag


Get Well Soon Bandage Bag-JMRush
Approximate Bag size: W 4.25” X D 3” X H 7.25”

This file is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.  



1. Cut design pieces.
2. Flip your bag base over ( pretty side down on both pieces )and fold the score lines. Glue the lettering to the lettering base. Glue the bandage piece with holes to the bandage base.
3.  Apply glue to the bottom of the long side tab of the longest bag base piece. Secure to the clean edge of the other bag base piece.
4. Apply glue to the bottom side of the tab to the right of the tab you just glued.  Secure to the rectangular shape just below and to the right of the tab.
5. Apply glue to the bottom side of the tab to the left. Secure to the rectangular shape to the right.
6. Apply glue to the bottom side of the last lower tab and to the remaining long side tab. Secure to the bottom and to the other side panel creating a box.
7. Attach the center of the bandage with a foam adhesive square.
8. Attach the combined bandage to the bag with foam adhesive squares. Glue the lettering to the bag.
9. Finish with a ribbon and fill with goodies:)

1. Cut design pieces.

Floppy Ears Labrador Retriever Card

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. 



 

  1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock for the dog)
  2. Fold the score lines on the card base and on the dog face with ears. Glue the dog face with ears to the dog face base.
  3. Glue the tongue to the back of the muzzle ( I curved the tongue slightly for dimension.— Make sure to check the length that you have sticking out). Use a foam adhesive square to attach the nose to the muzzle. Glue the ears to the coordinating shape on the dog face combined piece. ( I used a slightly lighter color of card stock for the muzzle and ear pieces).
  4. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the muzzle to the combined dog and the combined dog to the front of the card base.
  5. Use adhesive enamel dots to accent the dog’s eyes and for studs on the dog’s collar:)

Crab and Shells Treat Box


Crab and Shells Treat Box-JMRush
Approximate box size: 
W 4.75” X  H 3.75” X D 1” (Not including handle)

This cute Crab Box is compatible with 8x12 or 12X12 mats. The Crab and Shell designs can be used independently.






1.Cut design pieces.
2. Flip the box base face ( pretty side) down- (make sure the tab is at the top). Pre-Fold all score lines. Glue the full crab with cut outs to the full crab base. Glue the half crab with cut outs to the more solid half crab.
3.-4. Apply glue to the tabs on the second section. Secure to the third section from the top.
5. Apply glue to the tabs of the third section. Secure to the first section, creating a box.
6. Apply glue to the wings of section four.
7. Secure to the inside of the wings of section five.
8. This is what it should look like:)
9. Glue the scalloped edge piece to the box base- matching it up to the coordinating shape on the box base. Fold the handle at the score lines.
10. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined half crab to the combined full crab. Use pieces of foam adhesive squares to attach the shells to their shell bases.
11. Insert the handle into the slots on either side of the box.
12. Close your box by tucking the front tab into the front slot.
13. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the combined crab combined pieces to the front of the box. Tuck a combined shell into each crab claw and use a piece of foam adhesive to attach the shell to the handle.  The third shell is glued to the ribbon that I place on the center of the handle. I finished the box with a enamel jewel placed under the crab and centered with the tab slot closure:)

Wisteria Card

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. 





1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock for the flower).
2. Fold the card at the score lines. Glue the stem pieces to the Wisteria base. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the two large flower pieces together and the two smaller flower pieces together with the larger one on bottom of each set.
3. Curve the single flower petals and single leaves.
4. Glue the two flower groups together. Glue the leaves into place.
5. Glue the curved single flower petals to the top of the combined flower petal groups. I used foam adhesive squares to attach the central petal in this layer. Glue the Wisteria base to the front of the card base.
6. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined flower petal group to the Wisteria base. Finish with a ribbon and a enamel dot:)

Wisteria Lattice Basket



Wisteria Lattice Basket-JMRush
Basket size: W 3.5 x D 3.25 x H 2” (H 4.5” with Handle)

This cute basket is perfect for May Day treats, Mother’s Day, Spring celebration, birthday, or Easter goodies. Wisteria Flowers and Lattice basket design features can be used separately. 




1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock).
2. Glue the stem pieces to the Wisteria base. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the two large flower pieces together and the two smaller flower pieces together with the larger one on bottom of each set.
3. Fold all score lines and curve the single flower petals and single leaves.
4.  Apply glue to the bottom of the top two tabs. Secure to the    rectangular fence shape just above the tabs.
5. Apply glue to the tabs just below.  Secure to the rectangular fence shape just below the tabs. You now have a box shape.
6. Insert the handle tab through the top slot on the side of the basket starting from the inside and passing the tab through to the outside of the basket. 
7. Tuck this tab into the bottom slot going from the outside of the basket in to the inside of the basket. Repeat for the other handle tab on the other side.
8. This is what your basket should look like:) Use pieces of foam adhesive squares to attach the two largest flower groups to the Wisteria base. Glue the leaves into place. Glue the single flower petals to the small petal group. I used foam adhesive squares to attach the central petal in this layer. 
9. Glue the small flower group to the Wisteria base.
10.-11. Glue the two complete Wisteria flowers to the basket’s handle and down to the sides of the basket. ( They will overlap at the center of the handle)
12. Finish with ribbons and a enamel dot in the center of the handle. Fill with goodies:)

Sand Pail Basket

Approximate Basket Dimensions: W 3” x D 2.50” X H 2.50” (H 5” including the handle)


This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. The Sand Pail, Shovel, and Shell designs can be used independently from the box.




  1. Cut design pieces. I used double sided card stock. ( There is a rectangular piece missing from this tutorial. I cut it out of the same color card stock as the Shell base and Sand pieces:)
  2. Glue the three layers of shovel together. Largest on bottom. Glue the Sand (oval piece with a slot cutout) to the large sand pail piece (pail with a slot at the top) matching up the open slot areas.
  3. Fold the score lines on the box base. Glue the combined sand pail to the sand pail base (largest pail).
  4. Glue the rim/handle piece of the sand pail into place. Apply glue to the side tabs on the top section and secure to the rounded shape on each side.
  5. Repeat for the bottom tabs creating a box. 
  6. Insert the handle into the side slots.
  7. Glue the rectangular (sand) shape to the box front- centering it and lining it up with the bottom of the box base. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the combined sand pail to the front of the box. Use pieces of foam adhesive squares to attach the combined sea shells to the combined sand pail. Finish by tying the shovel onto the box handle with a ribbon:)

Lemonade Handle Bag



Lemonade Handle Bag-JMRush
Approximate Bag Dimensions: W 3” x D 1.75” X H 6.5”

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.



  1. Cut design pieces.
  2. Flip the bag base over. Fold score lines on the bag base.
  3. Connect the handle by inserting into the slots on the bag base.
  4. Apply glue to the vertical edge tab.
  5. Secure to the vertical edge tab on the opposite side lining up the edges.
  6. Fold the bottom side tabs inward.
  7. The shape of the bottom will be like an envelope.
  8. Glue each bottom triangles to the bottom side tabs.
  9. Insert string, ribbon, or twine through the holes on the largest pitcher shape. Glue the smaller pitcher shape on the larger pitcher -making sure that the string is lose between the layers so that you can arrange the placement of the combined piece.
  10. Glue the larger lemonade liquid shape to the combined pitcher.
  11. Glue the smaller lemonade liquid shape to the combined pitcher on top of the larger liquid shape.
  12. Glue the smaller circle shapes to the top of the larger circle shapes.
  13. Glue the circular lemon designs with cut outs to the combined circle shapes.
  14. Arrange the combined circle shapes and glue to the combined pitcher- overlapping some of the lemon slices.

  17. Insert the ends of your string through the bag. ( I crossed the string ends on the inside of the bag and fed the string back through to the front so that a bow could be tied:)



Beach Ball Treat Box

Approximate Box Dimensions: W 3” x D 2.50” X H 2.50” (H 5” including the handle)

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats. The Beach ball design can be used independently from the box.


  1. Cut design pieces.
  2. Fold the score lines on the box base.
  3. Flip the box base over. Apply glue to the side tabs on the top section and secure to the round ball shape on each side.
  4. Repeat for the bottom tabs creating a box. Insert the handle into the side slots.
  5. Glue the three beach ball design pieces to the circular beach ball base. Use a foam adhesive square to secure the small circle shape to the center of the ball on top of the three design pieces.
  6. Glue the rectangular shape to the bottom edge of the front of you beach ball box lining up the bottom edges.
  7. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the combined beach ball to the front of the combined beach ball box.
  8. Add a ribbon to finish:)

1. Glue the smaller flip flop shapes on the larger flip flop shapes.
2. Use pieces of foam adhesive squares to attach the top section of each flip flop:)
